A COURSE IN MIRACLES

Love is...Love

Love in the Illusion:

Here is what the Course says about what passes for Love in the world of illusions:

Our sense of inadequacy, weakness and incompletion comes from the strong investment in the “scarcity principle” that governs the whole world of illusions. From that point of view, we seek in others what we feel is wanting in ourselves. We “love” another in order to get something ourselves. That, in fact, is what passes for love in the dream world. There can be no greater mistake than that, for love is incapable of asking for anything.

The Bon Jovi song went spinning around in my head after I really thought about this. With a few changes in the words...

Shot through the heart
And we're to blame
We give love a bad name, bad name
We play our parts and we play our games
We give love a bad name, bad name
